This garden magazine was a group effort of myself and five other classmates working together for 10 weeks to get a whole magazine brand and layout completed. In this group, we all had roles, and I was the editor-in-chief. With this job position I lead my group to the best of my abilities, helping them work with their strengths and weaknesses in mind to better coordinate the creation of this magazine.

From the get-go, I wanted to make sure everyone’s voice was heard, so I worked within my team and one-on-one to make sure everyone was on the same page. Each person in my group was different when it came to their personalities and how they interacted with each other and their work. So I made the effort to better make them feel comfortable and understood, doing this I created a strong team bond and helped my team get the magazine done in a timely manner. With my leadership skills. We didn’t need to rush on getting things done, as I was able to pace all the work load well enough to where everyone was able to get things done at a comfortable pace.

For the design, it was a group effort to make sure we all agreed on what looked good and fit the vibe we wanted for the magazine. All in all, we had pretty good synergy for the design process. Which made the process of creating the layouts go smoothly.
